With permission from Archbishop-emeritus John F. Donoghue, Notre Dame Academy has been included in the Official Catholic Directory. The Catholic identity of the school comes from offering students an opportunity to pray, partake of the Sacraments, participate in service opportunities and study religious principles in all aspects of the curriculum.
The Marist Fathers are serving as advisors to the Board of Trustees. The Marist order will guide the policies and practices of the school in the formation of its Catholic identity.
The school teaches the doctrine of the Catholic Church and integrates the faith and values of the Church throughout the curriculum. The instructional program is based on the belief that when knowledge is set in the context of faith, it becomes wisdom. The religion curriculum has been approved by the Archbishop and the Office of Catholic Education.
