Notre Dame Academy seeks to accept children with average to above average intelligence who exhibit initiative in learning in and out of the classroom, as well as compassion for others. Acceptance at Notre Dame Academy is based on a number of factors:
Prior to Kindergarten, applicants are first come, first served
Applicants are age appropriate to grade level (i.e., applicants for Kindergarten must be five by September 1)
Applicants Kindergarten age and older are considered in order of:
- demonstrated commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith
- demonstrated commitment to another faith
- non-active Catholic families
- all other families
Notre Dame provides a sibling preference for those who apply prior to the 1st grade to enable families to send their children to school together
Demonstrated congruence between earned grades on report cards and standardized test scores (preferably ITBS, CogAt, CTP-4)

International Baccalaureate Admissions Policy
All students enrolled at Notre Dame Academy are part of one of the age-appropriate International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Pre-K4 through fifth grade; the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for sixth through tenth grade; and the Diploma Programme (DP) for eleventh and twelfth grade.
Admission to these Programmes is inclusive, not exclusive, and there will be no separate application process required.
